Bonnie, glad you enjoyed the recipe. Actually we drink mostly Umbrian wines which are very difficult to find outside of Italy, especially in Canada. With this risotto I’d like a glass of crisp Sauvignon blanc.

Neighbours sent a text to me offering some wild asparagus.  I searched online for recipes, and came across your blog.
Just finished my bowl of your Creamy Risotto with Wild Asparagus.  It is the best!!  In return for the wild asparagus, I am returning a container of your risotto to the neighbours.

My daughter and I travelled to Tuscany in 2016.  We drove to Lucca,  Volterra, Florence and other places of interest. Everywhere! we enjoyed food prepared with Italian heart and soul.  A beautiful trip! 

For this recipe I bought a small bottle of chardonnay.  Is there a favoured wine you might suggest.

The only risotto that always has saffron in it is Risotto Milanese.
