I made this with leftover asparagus. I didn’t have a wand, but pureed with my little Oscar (probably not as smooth as it should be, but…). SO GOOD!!! (I skipped the pine nuts & lemon rind.)

Thank you for this! I spent 2 weeks in Italy when I was 18, and I had some pasta with a creamy asparagus sauce, and out of everything I had there I remembered that dish the most. I have never found a recipe for the asparagus sauce, until now. I will definitely try this out.

I made this the other night, and it was a hit. Great recipe, Deb! I did use half and half, and it worked out just fine. Once I used my Viking immersion blender it was a perfect consistency. Thanks for sharing!

do we always have to diet the recipe it great.
I do agree the vita mix will smooth it out.
